My Learning Object
The app I choose to explore was Paper II. The purpose of this app is for students to write different texts in a unique format. It is very easy to navigate, the content is easy to read, and there are different layouts to allow students the opportunity to get creative. I like the different features of the app, and how students can get creative in different subject areas. I do not like this app because it provides different subject areas that you have to follow under. This limits a bit of student creativity.
This is an app can be used in a classroom as a research tool or as an organizer of information. It could be used in a number of different subject areas, for example, language to tell a story, history to show a timeline of past events, geography to explore different strands or even in science to present the findings of an experiment. For more information visit: http://paper.li/
The pictures above display my explorations of different science lessons in classrooms. The first is how you begin to explore a specific topic and the second is my final product of different science lessons.
For my genius hour specifically, I think this app would be an excellent way to display my progress. I could include different pictures and clips from my daily yoga sessions and yoga sessions all over and comment on how my feelings have changed and developed throughout. I would be able to explore and research more about yoga practices and how they impact people differently.
